The Vaguaries of Internet Shopping

I do a lot of Internet shopping, but today I’ve given up.  I need to buy some pH Test strips, because I’d like to test the pH of my mouth.  Two web sites wanted all my details in a profile, before they checked me out.  There was also no box to check to stop spam.  Compare this yesterday, when I bought the book, all the Public Catalogue Foundation wanted was an address, an e-mail address and credit card details.  Perhaps this is why I buy my books on Amazon and my clothes at M & S, as they do it without fuss.

Internet shops should be simple and efficient.  Many aren’t!

In the end I found what I wanted on valuemed.co.uk.

  1. I agree, many arent simple. I use Amazon a lot, and I just ordered a copy of a Who’s Who publication which details the correct form of address for a huge range of people – clergy, forces, aristocracy etc, including formal, social, letter and envelope. Pre-accident, I used the copy at work. It will be with me in the morning, and I have also had one delivered to my eldest daughter, who didnt know such a publication existed but will use it a lot because of her job. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes from the comfort of my sitting room.

Some internet stores are hopeless though! Some of the flower deliveries are not easy to use.

A good one by the way, is Thorntons, I used to use it for gifts for chocolate loving aunts, but they have both died now.

Today is a bad pain day. I ramble on those days, not sure why
