The Poor Chilean Miners

It would appear that it could be over soon for the poor miners trapped in Chile.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t bare to read or watch anything about their plight.  It’s not that I wish them any harm, but being trapped like that would make me go completely mad!

  1. I am really impressed at how the Chilean Government have handled this, I have been watching it closely, and they have worked really hard to get the miners out, and to keep them psychologically as well as possible whilst they are down there. I dont know much about Chile except it is a long narrow country on the West coast of South America, but I dont think they are in the same league financially and technologically as Europe – okay, scrub the finance bit, but you know what I mean. So I think they have done incredibley well. The only bit which concerns me slightly is that the men will probably be re-united with relatives within a few hours, I do think they should have the men above ground as a group, or as the three sub groups for about 48 hours first, as happens in most hostage situations, as this tends to prevent PTSD developing later.
