Made In Stevenage and Congleton
The Times today has an article about how a large proportion of the satellites we need are made in Stevenage.
Our space presence may be small in media terms, but in the bits that matter like jobs, money and technology it’s rather large.
The paper also has an article about how a company called Senior is doing rather well, by selling high-tech bits and pieces to Boeing, Airbus and Rolls-Royce.
So don’t write-off the manufacturing sector of the economy. Find out the truth!
Congleton also has a very nice GF fish and chip shop

I doubt I’ll ever eat fish and chips again. I probably last had them in about 1990. On the other hand there must be a gluten-free fish and chip shop in London somewhere. The only time when C and I regularly ate fish and chip was in the early 1970s, when we lived in St. Johns Wood. We got them from the legendary shop in Lisson Grove.

I very very rarely have them. There is a place in Urmston which dies excellent GF fish and chips, and they do other GF foods as well.

I’ve searched for one in London, but can’t find anything. But then fish and chip shops in London are pretty rare these days.
I don’t even remember one in the Enfield/Barnet/Southgate area of my childhood.
