Don’t You Just Love The Internet
The Internet is the natural home of all those who see reds, blues and oranges under the bed and want to further all sorts of wacky causes.
As an example type.

You get enough rubbish to fill every skip in London.
The only trouble is that many believe these sorts of stories. There are millions born every minute.
Do people actually believe that rubbish!

Look at the number of people who believe 9/11 was an Israeli/CIA plot.

I know some very intelligent well educated Muslims who are absolutely certain it was a plot! Of course I know it wasn’t, but I have to admit that there is a great deal of bias in my point of view. If the same attack had happened on a major city in an Arab nation and someone produced “evidence” that a group such as al Quaeda had really been behind it, I acknowledge that I would be more likely to believe it. A prejudice I am not proud of, but a prejudice all the same.

There are a lot of deeply religious people, who go for all sorts of conspiracy theories. I don’t know what it’s like up north, but it seems to me that hardly a week goes by in London, where there isn’t a case where someone with deep religious beliefs commits a serious violent crime for the flimsiest of reasons, like driving out evil spirits or not learning their religious texts. Usually against members of their own family!

Often the people who seem deeply religious have in reality lost the plot so far as the teachings of the faith they claim to belong to. There is some of that type of crime up here, but not huge amounts as far as I am aware. But it could be well hidden. There are plenty of examples of people who has lost the plot so far as their faith is concerned. For example the Muslim honour killings are not in an of the teachings of Qu’ran or Hadith. Neither is there any Biblical basis for the presumption of small children having evil spirits and being killed for it. I do believe there are “evil spirits” which can become a problem but they are very very rare indeed.
