If Ed Miliband Can’t Run The Labour Party, How Could He Run The Country?
After reading stories like this one about candidate selection in Falkirk, the question in the title of this post has to be asked.
Especually after he has had to call in the Police, to sort the mess out.
I am not surprised, the Labour Party have some odd ways of doing things which really arent acceptable in my opinion. I was chair of a school governing body, and Labour built up number of Labour party members on it in order to get a labour chair, I was asked to join by a several governors who wanted me to remain chair, but as members of the Labour Party couldnt vote for a non-Labour party member. I did NOT join the Labour party, I resigned and left them to it.

I used to run or own several businesses in Ipswich, which was a solid Labour town, but with a tremendous number of supporters of other parties. We never got any help to create more jobs, but when Robert Maxwell come in to save Ransomes and Rapier, he was welcomed with open arms. He shut the company down because he wanted their valuable waterside site, which lay derelict for years. But the council loved him, as he was a true Labour man. When he fell off his boat, Ipswich felt he got his just deserts and the jokes floating around had masses of sympathy. I’ve known a few Labour politicians in my time, including a couple of MPs. With the notable exception of Gwyneth Dunwoody, you always counted your finger after shaking hands. But then you do with most politicians, no matter what party they belong to.

I know several politicians, including an MP from Lib Dem, who is a good honest hardworking man, knighted in last honours list, and very well deserved, and a Labour Peer, Garfield Davies aka Lord Davies of Coity. Garfield is a lovely normal natural sensible man, he works incredibly hard and has no airs and graces, same with his wife, and he lives what he believes. But I do know that these people are a minority.
