Is This French Punishment For Brexiters?

Holidaymakers have been hit by delays of up to 12 hours through Kent to get to the Port of Dover, with many being stuck in traffic overnight.
Port authorities said delays built up due to French border checkpoints being understaffed overnight during heightened security levels.
There’s always some problem with the French and the Channel every summer.
But this summer it appears to be worse!
Could it be that the French are showing Brexiters, that they control the border?
After all, we never seem to get a problem with the Belgians!
The strange thing last night, as I came in from Brussels on Eurostar, was that there was some form of overcrowding in the terminal at St. Pancras.
Maybe, however France has a big security problem, albeit largely internal. Previous attacks have been mounted from other countries, so thorough checks seem reasonable, even though firearms are almost legally unobtainable in the UK, but can be bought in street markets in France.
OTOH this also gives the British a taste of the degree of aggravation one can expect after decree absolute from the EU and the end of freedom of movement – it is a two edged sword and it will cut both ways!

France’s also has a unique problem with the Police, that was outlined to me about thirty years ago, by a Frenchman, who worked for Lloyds Bank in Geneva.
If say, you a Dutchman, Swede, German or Brit and you decide to join the Police force, you may lose the odd friend, but it is an accepted profession and many of us have had policemen as fairly close friends.
But this doesn’t apply in France, as the French look upon their Police differently. If you join the Police, you can expect to lose lots of your friends. He also
