A Match Not To Be Missed

After what I’ve been through in real life and also watching Ipswich Town, I think the match of February 9th at Blackburn might be worth a visit.

Unless of course Blackburn get their act together.  But they do appear at present to be the team with the worst management off the field in England.

They might appoint a good manager, but even if they could persuade Jose Morinho to join them, I don’t think he’d be able to pull a team together.

And Now Blackburn Sack Henning Berg

Blackburn have just sacked Henning Berg according to this report. I did include Blackburn in this post as a club in need of management at the top level.

They just proved, that they are load of idiots, who probably couldn’t run a chicken farm.

Blackburn Rovers are Relegated

One of the most historic clubs in the Premier League, Blackburn Rovers, was relegated last night.

It would appear that the new owners had no idea about what they had bought and BBC Radio 5 was saying last night, that they’d thought they’d bought a franchise which couldn’t be relegated and an endless cash chicken.

Someone emphasised the latter, by bringing a chicken to the match, complete with its own team shirt. Read the report in that new tabloid, the Guardian.

It is a very sad affair and is another club that has got into trouble because of inappropriate and/or stupid ownership.

I felt particularly upset last night for Dave Whelan. the Wigan owner, as his team sent them down. He had been a Blackburn player in the 1960 Cup Final, when he was carried off due to a broken leg.

Everton’s Cup Odds Have Just Shortened

Liverpool might still win their game tonight against Blackburn, but to have a second goalkeeper sent off in a week or so is careless.

Everton must be looking up for the FA Cup at the weekend.

Do Blackburn Rovers Want This Man as an Owner?

The BBC has been doing some investigating into the prospective new owner of Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

This an except from the report.

Records show Ahsan Ali Syed has failed to pay a county court judgement of £61,500. Other debts include £7,800 in unpaid rent and nearly £1,000 in unpaid council tax.

Mr Ali is also listed as director of two UK companies which were dissolved for non-compliance.

We mustn’t let dodgy characters ruin our national game, by being able to buy clubs.  I’m going to Portsmouth next week, where they know all about people who live on a different planet.
