Black Humour

I have just had a letter addressed to my late wife.  I thought it was junk mail, but it was something to do with a system that she used to secure her credit cards.

It had the following on the envelope.

You’re only one step away from total peace of mind – Activate your benefits today!

They ought to be more careful what they put on envelopes.

  1. I have a very dark sense of humour, so found myself smiling at that post. And I took pleasure in telling an insurance cold-caller the other day … “My husband is dead so we don’t need life insurance” LOL, I could feel his discomfort coming down the phone line … wicked, evil, yes. But it felt good 🙂

  2. It wasn’t wicked. These people have a purpose and they are there so that we can vent our anger.

I’ve been known when a cold caller comes on the phone asking for my late wife, to put the phone down and call her. She never comes, but at least it wastes the cold caller’s time.
