Ths report on the BBC is a real warning to Scotland.
What is astounding is that the report says total employment in Scotland is only about a quarter of a million. That is not much, so what do the others do?

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

I read that to mean that unemployment was 225,000 not employment.
I have just discovered more Scottish ancestors, so I will be boosting their economy by buying more tartan

I read that as 25,000 ‘overall UNemployment’ – and I think the population is around 4.5- 5 million?
