India Knight on Moat

India Knight in The Sunday Times, is one of my favourite columnists.  Today, she turns her attention to the monstrous Raoul Moat and domestic violence.  She feels that we don’t take the latter seriously enough!

We don’t! C practiced at the bar long enough to see this odious crime come down the generations, just as child abuse does.

To me, violence has no place in life, except in somewhere like the boxing ring under the proper rules.

  1. I agree, and domestic violence against men is taken even less seriously. It happenened in my extended family, and when the husband left, the child was still given custody of the child, who is turn was abused and abusive.

  2. I can remember C or a judge telling me that when someone was up for child abuse, that the Court usher, who been there about thirty years, said that his father and grandfather had also been charged in the past.
