C would never allowed this and I generally don’t! But some of my guests invite my basset to misbehave!

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

That is not unreasonable, some dogs do far far worse, and he is a cute looking doggie.

I must show this to my brother’s partner – she has 2 Bassets, brother and sister. And my brother has 2 English Bulldogs. You can imagine what their house is like!(But they don’t go on the furniture)
Me, I only have a cocker spaniel. And as she insisted on sitting on a sofa, she has a blanket on one corner of a big sofa and its the only place (apart from her basket) that she sits.

Ah, I should have realised that since she has her head daintily on a pillow
I would like to have a dog, but since I cant realistically look after myself very well and Neil has to help me, and also has to do things around the house I cant do. So a dog would just be extra work for him, and I dont feel that would fair. Besides which, I am by nature an untidy person, and th dog would eat things!

I have Basset friend named “Longfellow” who is one of the most spoiled canines I know. I envy him ’cause I haven’t figured out how he gets away with sleeping on his human’s bed.

I actually find Lizzie good training for my walking, as she is often under my feet and I hsve to be careful to avoid her. All she needs is a tin of foot and some biscuit every day.

You have the advantage over me of being able to take her for a walk. I know people do tie dog leads to mobility scooters, but it invalidates the insurance, and I think it probably isnt that safe for the dog either. we live in a town and whilst we have a garden, it isnt large enough to give a dog a really good run around. Plus there is dog mess to clear out of the garden, vetsd to be visited – I couldnt manage to take a dog there by myself. So I go and visit other peoples dogs instead
