The Unsavoury Face of Islam
According to this report the government is concerned about the teaching in Saudi controlled schools in the UK. Here’s the first paragraph or so of the report.
The government says it will not tolerate anti-Semitic and homophobic lessons being taught to Muslim children in the UK.
BBC Panorama found that more than 40 Saudi Students’ Schools and Clubs are teaching the official Saudi national curriculum to about 5,000 pupils.
One text book shows how the hands and feet of thieves are chopped off.
We don’t want this sort of teaching in this country. Surely, it is illegal too!
I’m worried about this for other reasons too. Is it just me, or is there a rise in the murder of young Muslim men? There was two last week, one in Sunningdale and one in Milton Keynes.
This type of teaching could make race relations more difficult.

I agree that this type of teaching could hamper race relations. The problem is that as well as the various Muslim day schools funded either by state or the Muslims population, each Mosque has a Madrassa. This is for children who dont go to Muslim day schools and some of these will be teaching anti-semitism overtly, others will be less open about it. Christianity, Islam and Judaism all trace their beginning to Abraham, and his two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. Ishmael and his mother Hagar were sent away by Abraham when after was born. Traditionally, Muslims are the descendants of Ishmael, Christians and Jews are descendants of Isaac. Ishmael and his mother were treated pretty shabbily, which goes some way to explain why the Muslims dont like the Jews – this was a couple of thousand years before Jesus, hence no Christianity. Of course, Islam came after Christianity, but Mohamed presumably linked the Muslims to Ishmael. So racism against Christians and Jews is implicit if not explicit.
Add in the whole issue with Israel and Palestine and you have a real powder keg.
And then there are crusades.
I too have noticed the increase in the number of young Muslim men being murdered, many of them by other Muslims. Many of these will be honour killings, In a nomadic tribe, if someone breaks the laws, imprisonment isnt an option. Hence offenders were killed, and the tradition remains in some Muslim communities.
I could ramble on for hours in this topic, having done a couple of courses about Islam and the Christian response to it, and I start another one in a few weeks time. Most Muslims are caring, peaceful people. The small percentage who arent get the attention and a negative reputation for the whole of Islam. same as the various factions in Northern Ireland get the attention and give Christianity a negative reputation.
