The Basset Has Given Up on the Weather
She spent the whole of yesterday indoors and was only persuaded to venture outside for a few minutes.
This morning, she has just got up and reluctantly she went out of the front door for perhaps a minute. Now she is back on the rug in front of the sofa, wondering if she’ll try her luck. She didn’t and now she’s lying in front of the AGA.
Have left the heating on in the house.
I have even spoilt my kitty…warmed her Felix kitty food in the microwave…and she ate it warm for once…every scrap. Will do it again later on…
She has a towel folded under the radiator in the bathroom…and cushions on the sofa…and windowcill.
She hasnt been out of the house since before Bonfire night.Wonder if Smokie knows something we dont..

The basset is a bit like that but she’s just lazy. On the other hand the stallion is in his field watching over it all. He has a rug on, but he’s nearly 30 and doesn’t seem to mind at all. If we all had his constitution, the country wouldn’t need the NHS except for accidents, smokers and heavy drinkers.

Charlie, my parents dog is a Llasa Apso, and he is really cute, And really little. and I expect he will be avoiding going out as well – on occasions the snow has been deeper than him! He is so spoilt they may did a little bit of clear space for him on the patio for his business.
