Faster Rural Broadband
It has been announced that the first round of funding has been agreed for faster rural broadband.
I am not a high consumer of broadband capacity, as most of my on-line activity is e-mail and blogging.
However, I’m a strong believer that every home and business should have superfast broadband, as this will be one of the ways to create employment everywhere.
It can’t be installed everywhere too soon!
Here here. Just one thing though; can we have a DSL option ans the asymmetric nature of ADSL makes it useless for working from home where one often needs to send as much as one receives. As every software company will tell you, DSL services are incredibly expensive compared to ADSL.

I’m not sure what my upload speed here is on Virgin, but I’m not that bothered as it is fast enough. The broadband seems more reliable now, but when I first had it, it was up and down like a whore’s drawers
