Let’s Get Scientifically Correct About These Riots

Everybody is making all sorts of statements about the riots.  Many of them are based on idle speculation or entrenched views and quite a few are racist.

We need to have scientifically correct facts.

Let’s start with a database of all the arrests, where suspects are listed.  Perhaps a database could contain the following data for each arrest.

  1. Sex
  2. Age Range – say 15-24, 25-34 etc.
  3. Ethnicity
  4. Education Level
  5. Suspected Crime
  6. Post Code of Crime
  7. Employment Status
  8. Relationship Status
  9. Housing Status
  10. Distance between Crime and Place of Abode

Only when we properly analyse data like this can we make appropriate judgements.

If you think this is all very cloud-cuckoo thinking, I know that the Metropolitan Police have analysed all vehicles stops, where the vehicle was missing one of excise duty, insurance or MOT. The results were interesting and have been used to modify police methods to cut crime.

  1. The police are collecting this data, they always do, but the press and “social commentators”, and in some cases the politicians, dont want to wait for the results of the analysis, they want THEIR pet theories to be heard NOW.

I was on the outskirts of Manchester last night at a meeting, driving home about 10.00ish. I drove down The Curry Mile as I always do, and it was pretty much business as usual for an evening in Ramadan. I didnt go into the city. The areas of Manchester affected were the high end retail areas, and the main public areas such as Piccadilly Gardens. The motives certainly appear to be greed and excitement!

  2. A Daisy Analysis is Required Urgently NOW {somebody . . . an Expert} could assist the Police Work Overload . . . to identify “the unacceptable Gang mentallity” in Britain {& many other Countries including OZ} . . .

The early court cases include people 35 age with jobs to kids age 11 . . . we must analayse our social problem causes correctly to identify Solutions & Options.

THanks for Daisy . . . I will be setting up a Data Base on the UK Data, and an OZ Database . . . on Crime to show my examples with Daisy . . .

    liz . . . it’s not cost effective to loot cheap stores . . . “high end retail areas” are more productive . . . {unless you get caught on a secuity camera}
