I hate it, especially as my son died of a smoking related disease and it seems to make my hay fever and breathing worse.
To make matters even worse, my local stop is a changeover point for drivers and sometimes there are half-a-dozen in the shelter puffing away.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

I hate it too. And as well as bus stops, I hate it on picnic tables outside cafes on the pavement! I would happily ban smoking in public places of any sort.

What really annoys me, is that at my local stop most of the smokers are drivers waiting to changeover.

Speaking as the former Captain of the British Olympic Smoking Team (5 packs of Raffles 100’s a day) and knowing that there is none so pure as the purified, I have to agree, I am super sensitive to tobacco smoke, if the guy five cars down in a traffic queue lights up, I can smell it; mostly with disgust but on the odd occasion the old bug hits me and after 20 years without a spit and a draw I realise I am just one cigarette away from being back on 100 a day. It’s a vile habit.

My dad gave up from 40+ a day before I was born, but said if he was in a roomful of smokers he wanted one!
