IKEA Gives More To The Philippines Than China
Hard to believe, but it’s true, and is fully reported in the Guardian.
China has given $2m, whilst IKEA has given $2.7m.
Japan, the United States and Australia have given a lot more.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.
I am tempted to be totally inappropriate and suggest that actually IKEA may “benefit” from this tragedy whereas China won’t, because there will be a need to replace a lot of furniture in Philippines. However, that is only a joke, IKEA, along with McD and various other unlikely companies do give a great deal to charitable causes.
