A Pair Of Poison Free Quiches
Last week I had an excellent quiche from Marks and Spencer.
Today, at the Angel they had two different types; cheese and onion and Lorraine.

A Pair Of Poison Free Quiches
There is no provenance on the quiche Lorraine, but the ones with added poison are made in Yorkshire. So what with the Tour de France in the county next week, are they upping the anchors and moving across the channel?
But it was so nice to have a choice. I’ll have some of the Lorraine for lunch tomorrow and put the cheese and onion in the freezer for a very rainy day, when it’s too much to go to the shops.
We enjoy these, I enjoy the Scotch eggs occasionally with a salad too

Scotch eggs! I haven’t had one since I was diagnosed a coeliac! I must look harder!

They are in M&S chillers, with the normal ones. They are very nice, they come in packs of 2. They also have fishcakes – cod ones and salmon ones, and various other things. I bought some of their scones yesterday, only thing of new range that I didn’t particularly like, although I haven’t really tried much of the cake stuff, as don’t really eat it.

Ahh! Fishcakes! Because of my gammy hand, I’m not good at making things like that!

I don’t eat fish, due to allergic reaction (not an intolerance) to oily fish – means I often steer clear of manufactured white fish products too. They did look nice, and they had s chicken and mushroom type thing too which was similar to fish cake. But I am not a lover of mushrooms. Mostly we make stuff from scratch, but there are some excellent products out there. A local person has a stall on the Sunday Market in Altrincham once a month, and I got a couple of Lamb and Pepper Pasties recently and they were amazingly good.

I’d like to see some of the Polish pasties over here. Filling is meat and vegetablesand it’s all wrapped in a gluten-free cabbage leaf.
I had one once in a pub in Wolverhampton.

have you looked in your local “Polski Sklep”? I haven’t ventured into one, but they do sell Polish food to Polish community here, so may have some.

[…] I don’t really like lettuce and other green leaves in salad. This was my lunch yesterday of one of quiches from this post. […]
