The Anonymous Widower

Fake Facebook and www.feetspicy.com

I’ve no idea what this scam is about.  I get masses of messages saying that someone on Facebook has sent me a message. As I always check links before I click them, I don’t follow them as they point to www.feetspicy.com.

This web site is registered and hosted in China, so I suppose it’s up to no good.

I just don’t have the time to follow it through, but I suspect it’s some sort of scam to collect Facebook logins.

Facebook Is A Nightmare, If You’re A Bad Typist

I just tried to post something on Facebook and I ended up writing something to the wrong place.  Manners said, that I should delete it, but there didn’t appear to be a Delete link for comments. At least the comment wasn’t offensive or even the tiniest bit rude!

I’ll stick to this blog!

Facebook

I am a member of Facebook, but I don’t use it that often.

Why?

Am I worried about abuse and don’t hold with their refusal to put an abuse button on every page?

No!  I think that an abuse button would be a mistake, as all and sundry would click it to see what happened.  We actually need to educate everybody and not just children about how to be safe on the Internet.  I also think that kids are the ideal people to teach vulnerable adults how to use the Internet and stay safe.

The reason I don’t use Facebook very often is simple.

I run Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7 and find that Facebook has a strong tendency to crash my machine with annoying regularity.

Raising the Anonymity a Bit

I was going to keep this blog completely anonymous, but a lot of my friends have seen it and if you follow me on something like Facebook or Twitter, you’ll have sussed the connection.  After all the Twitter account is on the page anyway.

At the moment, I’ve more than one blog going and the other concerns my new Management Software System called MX73.  So that I can post in fewer places, I’ll put odd comments about that here.
