Religous Spam
I hate spam with a vengeance, but if it has a fake religous bent, it really gets my goat. Does anybody know why we use goats in this context?

I have treated it with the utter contempt it deserves and applied the Delete key.
The stupid woman, who supposedly sent the e-mail, couldn’t even spell her name the same twice.
I am a Christian, it annoys me too. The quote from Luke is out of context. And the Bible condemns usary, making large amounts of money by offering loans at ridiculous interest rates. Which is what this spam is doing.

I doubt anyboy has ever borrowed any money from these scammers. They probably ask for up-front fee after up-front fee and you get nothing.

YOu may be correct, but they will be making money by exploitation one way or another. And some people are not as savvy as you and I, and will think because they are claiming to be Christian they are safe!
There is a wonderful organisation called Christians Against Poverty who work in local areas supporting people who are in debt, and helping them to contact their debtors and reschedule their debts etc, no money changes hands, just professional quality help from fully trained volunteers, available to everyone, of all faiths or none
