What Shall I Do Tomorrow?
Today is not really the problem, as there is plenty of good sport on television, with the Grand Prix and some football. But it is tomorrow!
I thought that I might like to go to the cinema in Haverhill, as it would be possible with a taxi both ways.
But having seen the list of awful American films they are showing, that is a complete no-no. Most seem to be in 3-D, which is totally appropriate for someone with bad eyesight. I should also say that this relives some really bad Bank Holidays in the past, where C and I would vargue because there was nothing to do. Often we’d go shopping in London or Bluewater, or perhaps go and have a meal. But I can”t do that as I’ve got no transport and must stay here in my beautiful and lonely prison.
I could go to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, as I haven’t been for many years.
I can’t even do some of my new found love and time filler; cooking. I’m miles from the nearest shop and that would again mean a taxi both ways, just to get the things I need.
So I’ll just stay here and rant at all the people , who’ve said they’ll visit me and never have!
But at least there’s Tuesday to look forward to!
Are able to ride the horses on the farm? You could take a GF picnic and go for a ride.
That has the advantage of being a quiet activity, there wont be many people around. We never go anywhere on bank holidays, because too many other people do!

There are no riding horses here and anyway I’ve no food suitable for a picnic. The nearest shop is a two mile walk.
Who’d live in nthe country? It’s a nightmare when you can’t drive!

Towns can be a nightmare when you cant drive as well. How long will it be before you can drive?
For a short while I lived miles from anywhere, and I hated it, I am a townie, I like being within 10 minutes drive of 2 different branches of John Lewis, 10 minutes from trafford Centre, etc. Which makes me sound like someone who shops all the time, which I certainly am not, it is just good to know they are there. Things like when the kettle broke, it was a few minutes drive to JL to choose a new one. When I had hand surgery after accident I couldnt dirve for several months and it was horrible. My daughter didnt think so, she had my car! I spent a fortune on cabs. But of course not as big a fortune as I would have if I didnt live in a town. No point using buses, although there is a bus stop almost outside my house, I couldnt have walked the distance from the stop to where I was going at the other end!
Would you be allowed to drive a scooter, some of them are suitable for using on the road, they only go 8 MPH, and it could fill in until you can drive, at least you could get to shops.

I do have a driver/housekeeper for the weekdays, so it isn’t so bad. I can easily walk a couple of miles carrying quite a bit. My problem is my eyesight. If I get to London, I’ll be close to a tube station and there are buses everywhere. I can even use the top deck.
