I Can’t Sleep!

Since I had the stroke, I’ve always been able to sleep.  But not tonight, as the pain in my face is too much and I reckon if I’ve had an hour of sleep, I’ve been lucky!

I’ve taken a couple of paracetamol tablets and they have made no difference.

It’s now three o’clock in the morning and I’ve got up to listen to the radio and play on the computer.  At least my typing is fine!

So let’s hope the pain is a sign that my brain is getting to grips with my body again!

  3. Face pain is hellish, I hae it permanently and take medication for it, which deadens it somewhat but not entirely. Is this a new pain? Could you hae trapped a nere playing tennis or similar – mine is caused by a trapped nere which was too damaged to return to normal when it was untrapped.

I sleep on a proper Tempur pillow – ery different from the cheapo memory foams you see adertised, mine cost around £100. I sleep better if I lie on the side of thepain becauyse the Tempur supports my face. If I cant sleep, I count my breaths in and out as I breath slowly and when I get to 10 I start at one again, that way I am not subconscioulsy thinking I should be asleep because I got to 60 and normally I get to 40 or whateer

the button between c and b is still not working

  4. I have a Temur bed, so I think I’ll buy one of the pillows.

  5. they are well worth the money – we have the shaped oned rather then normal pillow shaped one the website calls the “Original” – they give a lot of support to my neck, which is important. We take ours with us when we go away.

I have the transit pillow as well, for long journeys.

OUr mattress has a thick layer of tempur over pocket springs.
