St. Nicholas Church, Great Yarmouth
St. Nicholas in Great Yarmouth, is the largest parish church in England. Sadly, it was closed when I arrived in the afternoon on the way back to the station, but I was still able to walk in the churchyard.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

Now had I known you were wandering around a graveyard in NOrfolk, I would have sent you a list of names to look out for!
An odd question – what were the graves like. In some parts of Norfolk instead of a grave having the people in it interred one above the other, the people are interred side by side, so a family grave will cover a fairly large area. The reason for this is that the water table is so high. A good example is the Tipple family grave in Clenchwarton, near to Kings Lynn. They have a window in the church as well.
