I Never Use My Visa Card On-Line
I’ve just been reviewing my credit card use, as it is getting to that time in the month when they get paid.
The interesting thing is that my Visa card is now never used on-line and hasn’t been for some months, as the stupid Verified by Visa system is a complete deterent to on-line use, as I pointed out in an earlier post.
The system may mean that my bank doesn’t see any on-line fraud with credit cards, but I just wonder if some people have cut-up their Visa cards in frustration at the security system.
It’s very simple – one password and you’re away. I doubt that (m)any would consider it to be the great inconvenience that you perceive it to be.

They won’t let me use my standard password form, as I never use upper and lower case together in a password, because with my left hand I can’t be sure to get it right. In fact if I try to sign up to a company that wants a mixed-case password, I don’t.
I’ve also had to reset it so many times for vrious reasons, that now I can’t find a password that I haven’t used before and they won’t let me reuse them.
So it’s simpler never to use the card, as AMEX and another card I hsve, never have any problems.
An aside here is that passwords should always be visible to the typer. My software is always this way and a lot of others work that way, so that bad typers can see the mistake before they click go.

I found Verified by Visa a complete pain at first, but after resetting my password every time I used it for the first few times, it settled down and Ihave no problems now. However, if Paypal is an option, I always choose that, When I had the awful hacking scam a few years ago, they got into my Visa account, but not into Paypal, despite many attempts.
