Church says, “Parties Unite Nation!”
It’s all here.
A bishop I phoned up, was unavailable so he couldn’t comment, although his spokesman said that too much fun wasn’t good for people.

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

When you said Church I assumed you meant “of England” or “RC” or some such, not Charlotte.
I think street parties help neighbours to get to know each other better, which is generally good. I think to be spiritually and emotionally healthy we need a blanace of fun and other stuff as well, serious moments, thoughtful quiet moments etc. And I dont mean spiritual in the religious sense, religion and spirituality are NOT the same thing at all

Incidentally, the Welsh seemed to have had a very good time today, whereas others have just moaned. The harpist came from a village, where a Welsh friend lives.
