Noticing the Little Things
I’ve just put my washing away. I am now noticing that simple actions like matching pairs of socks are so much easier, as my hands are getting better.
I know it will all take time to get fully better. But, hey! I can wait!

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.
One of the important things about strokes is that recovery takes a long time – it must be nearly a year and half since yours. Sadly many people get very demotivated by the length of recovery – you are doing well, you have a positive attitude towards stroke recovcery

It’s only a year and a bit. But the toughest dogs in the world are London mongrels!
