How Not To Put Up A Towel Rail
Jerry was, and hopefully now isn’t a very bad builder. I am reorganising my spare bathroom, so I’ve taken down his disgusting wooden fittings, the like of which I’ve never seen anything so bad and putting up quality Miller ones from my previous home.
Note the holes drilled everywhere, where he made so many mistakes. I can count eight holes and three he’s crudely filled and that doesn’t count the three I reused.
Does anybody have a good way to fill holes in tiles?

It’s not easy to fill and disguise holes in tiles. If you have/can get new ones then it is possible to replace them, but not a 2 minute job. Another way is to fill them with tile grout and then paint the holes. If you have a spare tile or can chip a bit off an out of sight location, then you may find a paint shop will mix some paint of the right colour from the sample.

you could fill them all with the flesh of Jerry the builder!

I’d thought of putting his brains through the mincer and using that. But then, there wouldn’t be enough to fill one hole.

[…] 7. I use a ceramic tray for my soap and shampoo, as until I find the right one, I’m not going to drill the tiles and so avoid Jerry’s problem. […]
