I’d never realised until I saw it that all London buses have large identfication letters on their roofs, but looking down from my room I could easily see them.
I suppose they are for identification purposes from Police helicopters or the Air Ambulance.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

I agree; when you’re cooped up in a room – for an extended period of time – you pick up on the small things. I’ve been there as well! Great post and I look forward to sharing more with you:)

I suppose the only problem with the room was that there was no individual temperature control. And the staff were all very pleasant and helpful! So no problems there!
