Liverpool might still win their game tonight against Blackburn, but to have a second goalkeeper sent off in a week or so is careless.

London Is The World’s Divorce Capital
I’ve read this story in a couple of places today, but the Evening Standard has a long piece.
If C was still alive, she’d be disappointed, that the celebs and mega-millionaires never seemed to come to her chambers in Cambridge.
But who knows what might happen in the future or even be happening now, as there quite a few Cambridge companies, who’ve created a few billionaires and some men will always move on to pastures new.
Divorce may be a messy business, but someone has got to do it!
Has Harry Blown It?
It would appear that Harry Redknapp hasn’t been having the best of luck with getting Spurs into next year’s Champions League.
So perhaps Stuart Pearce will get the job of England manager after all. At present Redknapp is still favourite with the bookies and Pearce is third after Roy Hodgson.
I wouldn’t rule out Roy Hodgson, especially as like me he is a Leo pig. We come with built-in luck.
Abu Hamza Can Be Extradited
I’m not going to comment on the legal reasons, as it does seem to me, that the verdict of the European Court to allow the extradition of Abu Hamza may create more problems than it solves.
After all, it’s unlikely he’ll get a slap on the wrists in a United States court, so what will be the reaction of his apologists here in the UK, when they realise he’s not going to come back? I think it might be better for everyone here if he was kept in a nice warm cell and released when his time is up.
But then I don’t have to get elected in a few years time.
The EU could put a whole cap on it, by passing a law that says that no-one could be extradited to a country with the death penalty on the statute book.
The First Northern BBC Breakfast
I watched it all the way through and there wasn’t one politician. Some will say that’s a good thing, but the quality of the guests wasn’t good and they were very local to the studio.
If it doesn’t improve, I’ll be switching to Radio 5 or perhaps even Radio 4.
Perhaps this is what the BBC wants as radio must be much cheaper to make than television.

What’s Going Wrong With Scottish Football?
Reading all of the stories last night about Scottish football, it appears to be digging itself a big hole.
Apparently, the Scottish Premier League is set up that all changes need an 11-1 majority, to protect the interests of Celtic and Rangers. The other clubs want this changed to a 9-3 vote. The manifestations of this are well set out in this reasoned article from the Herald.
The article ends with this statement.
The Old Firm, and the rest of the SPL clubs, have a responsibility to do what is right for the game. Where is the consensus? Who is prepared to act radically, instead of just talking about it?
If Scotland wants to have a viable football competition, the powers that be must act decisively, radically and quick. One solution, that I would not countenance at any price is Rangers and Celtic playing in the English leagues. They must keep their sectarianism north of the border.
To make matter worse for Scottish football, the driver of the Motherwell team coach managed to get it stuck under a bridge, as is reported here.
I do also wonder whether the rise of Scottish rugby teams like Edinburgh are turning fans against football and its never ending troubles. Fanslike nothing better than a winner.
