Sainsburys in High Holborn

I ventured into the Sainsburys Local at High Holborn today to get a paper.  I left empty-handed as I couldn’t find them, as the shop had a maze-like quality and the staff seemed incapable of giving me clear directions.

I think it’s the last time I visit a shop without a full recci first!

  1. I have just got back from a trip to Sainsbury’s in Cheadle. I dont go there often, just pick up GF bits from time to time. It was horrendous. Very difficult to find scooter, then they have moved a lot of the GF food so that bread is in bread aisle, cereal in cereal aisle etc. The whole place is topsy turvy due to renovations. And they didnt have what I went in for!

    • Sounds a bit like my Waitrose. I think the computers are changing ranges and suppliers and the shops can’t cope. I only use the Sainsbury’s Locals round here and the one close to my normal Carluccio’s is useful, as it has a few staples like goat’s milk. I find, I’m increasingly using M & S, as they are so numerous in Central London and the staff know, where everything is. I also have a large one a few bus stops away on Finsbury Pavement in the City.
