I suppose deep-fried Mars Bars are difficult to get in New York. But then he doesn’t look like he eats many!

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

Well !!! you really hit a nerve this time. Why won’t you London people just shut up as you have had all of the UK money for the last five years and you are still moaning. A Scot won a great event so you have to knock him because he is clean not a drunk but I forgot he does not come from London. I think you Londoners should enjoy all that money that was spent there and just keep quite as the rest of the UK are now going to get our share. Your comment the otherday about a white water run in London (built at a fantastic cost) when there are far better ones all over the country and natural not man made. We all think they were not used as they were not in London.

I’m not moaning. I was just following the light hearted tone of The Times, who praised him highly. As I do!
As to the white water run for the Olympics it has to be man made. They haven’t used a natural one since before Munich. It’s been a wonderful use of the River Lea, that has been London’s life-blood for over 400 years.
You’ve got the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow son. Are you going?
