Do I Need A Smart Phone?
I’ve recently bought a Samsung Tab 2 7. This is the seven inch screen or the small one.
I can keep it in my pocket and use it to send e-mails and surf the Internet. I checked my Zopa and bank details on Saturday and even entered a small post to this blog.
I’ve only a wi-fi version, which proved excellent on the train on Saturday. But then we are seeing more and more free wi-fi hotspots in pubs and cafes everywhere.
So quite frankly, I’ll stick to my Nokia 6310i for phone calls and text messages.
Who needs a smart phone?
You have to carry two things, I only have to carry one. Which for me, makes a difference. Plus I get on much better with the touch screen, esp as on mine it is full keyboard touch screen, I cant do the pressing different buttons a different numbers of times as on older phones.

I actually carry three things, as I’ve always got a camera with me too!

My phone is a camera as well.

I take the pictures for my blog. So I want them in a large format.

My phone does take them in large format, I can actually print them out at 8 x 10 and they still look fine.

The large smartphones are mini-tablets anyway – fine for email and simple web surfing.

My preferred balance is a smart phone and a bigger tablet – I find the screen size too labourious on the smaller ones. That’s why I don’t favour the iPad Mini too much. Current combo is iPhone + iPad. I would say that it’s a complete personal preference.
