Lisbon is one of the few places I know with a lift to raise you up the hill.
Unfortunately, it was so busy, I decided to give a ride a miss. But I did ride it twenty years ago with C.
I do sometimes wonder, why we don’t see more lift systems like this in cities!

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

I’ve never been to Bilbao.
The cruise wasn’t that good, as there was no sun and it was so cold. But you can’t blame that on P&O!

Sorry the cruise was cold, but presumably temperature was OK in Seville. There is another of these lifts in Shanklin IOW to get people down to the beach. Cheers Jim
