My Poor Australian Physio

I’m going to see him this afternoon.  I suspect he’ll get a lot of teasing after the performances of Australia in the cricket and the rugby at the weekend.

I doubt I’ll be the first to lay it on thick!

After all they did celebrate at the pub, by spit roasting a kangaroo!

  1. My physio is Irish, from Belfast. Went to see her last week, and she diagnosed the cause of the pain I have had within a few minutes, and gave me exercises, and told me to go to Pilates, which is where I will be off too in a couple of a minutes. Physios are IMHO better than docs at diagnosing and treating the cause of musculoskeletal pains

    • You know that Liverpool university has got a massive grant to do research in this area. It’s partly funded by Arthritis Research UK and the work is being done first at Leahurst on horses. I’d watch what happens there as it’s a big project to help anything with two or four legs.

So iof you need to see a specialist it’ll be a case of get your passport out and go to the Republic of Merseyside.

  2. The pain isnt arthritic, it is to do with the (natural) angle of my pelvis, which is more forward than normal, and causing muscular pain as a result of certain exercise, and certain chairs etc. Long story, we had thought it was something else completely but it wasn’t, after scans etc. Apparently I have the bone density of a fairly athletic woman in her 30s, because I have always been very careful around bone care, from both an nutritional and exercise point of view. I also have comparatively less wear and tear on bones because of the bone density. Although after Pilates I ache like crazy, apparently this is normal!
