RMT Fights Trains That Might Have Saved Girl
This is the headline on an article in today’s Sunday Times.
It is only for balance that you read the whole article, but I predict there could be an almighty row over over Merseyrail’s new Stadler trains, which as the article describes, are designed totally with safety in mind.
But not the RMT!
I wonder if RMT paid for this Merseyrail guard’s defence?

To be fair to the Sunday Times, they blamed that incident more on the rules than the guard. I feel, Merseyrail’s trains will also get safer on the loop after the track relaying, as it appears they’re building the track to fit the current trains. The new trains will be the same size as the old, but with better safety features.
Some of the gaps around the country are truly dangerous. They should be flat, so anybody in a wheelchair can just roll across.
Some of the best is the London Overground and some of the worst is the high-speed commuter lines out of St. Pancras.
