The Strange People You See On The Underground
As I got on my Victoria Line train at Highbury and Islington station, scruffy individual got on carrying a claw hammer. One or two others noticed him and as he got off at Green Park, we had a safe journey!
If he was a dodgy character he would have hidden the hammer. Unless he was a psychology student, with friend on board acting as an observer to see people’s reactions. Having been a psychology student I often suspect strange incidents as being students conducting experiments. York railway station springs to mind. The ruder you are to users of the station, the more they go out of their way to help you. Especially if you have an American accent.

The hammer might have been stranger if he were wearing a good suit and tie. But then he could have been a tacks inspector.

He looked a bit like the average guy you see sleeping on the street. Generally, thry’re fairly safe.
