I first had knowledge of government procurement in the 1970s! Then it was defence procurement, which was shambolic!
Nothing appears to have changed.
Perhaps, we should ask Tesco or Screwfix to source PPE and PCWorld to source ventilators?

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

Perhaps. I remember asking them to procure garibaldi biscuits. For the volunteer run tea-bar, because the patients loved them, and quite a few said they weren’t really eating but couldn’t resist a garibaldi. it was a palaver, and took ages and ages, but they appeared eventually.
