A Pair Of Class 755 Trains At Liverpool Street Station
I traveled back to London Liverpool Street station in an eight-car formation of a pair of four-car Class 755 trains.
Note.
The train had come from Norwich.
Real Time Trains showed, that the train was fairly close to on time.
Was this an experiment or were Greater Anglia just short of trains?
The train certainly felt to be running well.
I’ve always felt that Two Class 755 trains could split and join at Ipswich to combine a Norwich and Lowestoft service. Were Greater Anglia experimenting?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that there is one working each way – capacity and deliberately for crew familiarity – and typically it is a 3 unit train which could be 9, 10 or 11cars – 12 being too long maybe.

Somebody told me, the diagrams are arranged, so that Stansted Express 745s get to Crown Point for specialist maintenance.
But I can’t say, it was a second class run to the one North in a 745.
After all, one of the drivers, who went to Switzerland to help Stadler design the trains told me that the 755s are designed for 125 mph.
If they are, then surely, they would be useful for CrossCountry.
