Without my permission, my computer changed itself to Windows 11.
I should be in charge not some nameless idiot in Trumpland.
I now can’t preview my pictures on the SD cards my Nikon camera uses.
Why is it, they never do upwards compatibility right?

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

I had the same problem and after 3 weeks of it downloading it crashed my computer.

I have the opposite problem as Microsoft says it is not possible to upgrade my computer to Windows 11 when support for Window 10 finishes later this year.

Same thing happened W8.1pro to W10 in 2016, however then I clicked “x” to get rid of the pop up, but instead when I go up in the next morning it was half way through doing it. I was going to trial it on a W7 net book first. In the event it was relatively painless. Not sure why it won’t let you view you SD cards – what Anti-Virus are you running?
PS OTOH 13 and 11 years without having to pay for an update ain’t bad and this PC is due for an upgrade.
