McDonalds Customer Survey

This seemed another bit of pointless spam, but then I didn’t click the link to a web site in Malaysia.

Dear customer,
Please give us only 5 minutes of your valuable time to ask you some questions about our products . Please be aware that we will not ask you about any personal information.

In return, we will credit $90.00 to your account – just for your time.

If you want to answer our simply 8 questions , please click the link below :

Thank you for helping us to become better .

Sincerely, McDonald’s Survey Department.

Please do not reply to this email. This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response.

I should say though that my ISP marked it as spam and it was to that mythical person, “undisclosed-recipients”  I suspect that the link asks for your bank account details, so they can empty it.

Dealing with scams like these, is a bit like getting Health and Safety right.  It’s just common sense, stupid!

  1. Sensible adults will ignore this, what concerns me since it is supposedly McD is that childrens and young teens who are new to the internet and fairly naive will trust the McD name and open it. Hopefully they wouldnt add a bank account number if asked, but some would! Actually, saying that ,so would some elderly people too, one time a couple of years ago there was an email doing the rounds something to do with a crime warning. I was a hoax and most people saw it as that, but it did the rounds of the old people at church, who where then phoning the police and generally getting in a terrible tizzy. Because someone from church had sent it them, it must be right.

The other one which did the rounds of the older people at church was the one about the Royal Mail stopping doing religious Christmas stamps, folk were printing that out and giving it to people who didnt have email. I was editing the magazine then, and got a statement from RM explaining it was rubbish!

    • You’re totally wrong. Have you ever seen the load of obese people hanging around the average McDonalds?

I’m coeliac, so there are few fast food dumps, that I can eat in!

Fast food is ruining the world, by making making people fat and manna from heaven for the Covids.

      • McD isnt the best food centre in the world. However, if I am stuck in a place I dont know – usually when I have been stuck in traffic somewhere for a ridiculously long time and am due to eat, I will go to a McD drive through and get a quarterpounder with no bun and no pickle, and a small fries, because I know that there will be no contamination with gluten, and for me more importantly no contamination with fish – which would put very rapidly in the local A&E. The burgers without all the pickle, bun, etc are actually not bad – they taste better than some of the frozen ones I used to buy the kids for a treat.

McD is the only fast food place I do eat in, and that is only about once a year! But having eaten them abroad, they taste the same wherever you are – my daughter said that the one she had in Russia (because she could!) tasted just like the ones in other places.
