Moaning About the Price of Petrol

I’ve had a rough three years and now can’t drive because of the strokes. I just laugh at all those idiots, who insist on using their cars to do things, that I now have to do happily on the bus, or by walking. Although I live in London, I rarely use the tube, as the bus stops within a hundred metres.

Today, I’m off to Liverpool on the train from Euston.  In First Class too! Paid for incidentally, by selling something on eBay from a car I used to own twenty years ago, that just happened to turn up in the move.

Life is fun! And funny as I listen to the selfish moaners!

  1. Have fun in Liverpool. If you get the opportunity go down to the pier head and turn left along the side of the Mersey, there is a pathway there which is a lovely walk – called the Promenade I think. We take my scooter there as the flat pathway is ideal for it. After a couple of miles, maybe a bit more, you will come to Otterspool. There are pathways which will take you off the prom and one will almost certainly be signposted to The Otterspool pub/restaurant, which is a Harvester. I have been there many times, it understands the whoel gluten free thing, it has a reasonable choice of gluten free options, and the free salad bar. If you are concerned that something on the salad bar may be contaminated with non GF things, they will bring you some from the kitchens. They are fine about you taking a GF breadroll, their mayo is GF, and their steak is if you dont have the chips, which is A BIG BUT – the chips are in batter, but they serve other sorts of potato, I always have new potatoes. They have a lot of fish dishes, and an excellent GF Barnsley Chop.
