Seeing Ipswich at Derby is Impossible.
As Ipswich aren’t playing this weekend, I thoght it would be nice to see them at Derby on the Tuesday.
But there is no return train, so I won’t be going! I don’t fancy waiting up until four in the morning to get a train back to London either.
Obviously, Derby County supporters don’t live in London and go to the match by train!

Isn’t it possible to return via Derby changing at Lichfield as both Lichfield stations seem to do regular London runs?

One train means change at Birmingham and another at Tamworth. There should be a late train.

It was also impossible to get to Christchurch in Dorset for a 12noon appointment, and return within the day.
Would have much preferred someone else to drive and not me…
However, driving through the very beautiful New Forest on the Saturday morning, a sharp frost on the heath, watery sun, ponies trotting about, and two hares playing a game….wouldnt have seen that from the train…
