Cuban Cigars on Mykonos

Really! I thought the Americans had banned Cuban cigars everywhere.  So perhaps they’ll invade Mykonos next!

Cuban Cigars on Mykonos

Don’t the Greeks smoke enough anyway?

After all, one of the reasons I left Mykonos, was because there was just too much smoking.  And in quite a few restaurants too!

Lucky C Didn’t See These on Mykonos

C didn’t like birds, unless they had been properly plucked and cooked.

So she wouldn’t have liked these pelicans on Mykonos.

Pelicans on Mykonos

It’s funny but I couldn’t remember much of our holiday a few years ago on the island. Although we did visit Delos.

Pension Kalogera on Mykonos

I got picked up by a young lady on Mykonos and I suspect it wasn’t the first time she’d done it either.

But all she wanted to do was sell her Pension to me for the night.

Pension Kalogera, Mykonos

At forty euros for the night and free transport to and from the new port, I couldn’t complain. In fact, I think I should have stayed another night, as Mykonos was a better island at this time of year, than the next one, Tinos.

Does Vanessa Feltz Have Another Job?

This poster that was in many places on Syros, says it all.

I’ve no idea what it’s all about.

Walking Around Ermoupoli, Syros

Ermoupoli is the main town of Syros and it is not a typical town you expect on a Greek island. Here are some pictures.

As it has lots of ferries to the other islands, it is a place to consider as a base for a long stay in the Greek islands.

The Obstacle Course That is Athens

I have said before that I have found that the traffic in Greece regard zebra crossings as killing grounds, but then the pavements in Athens aren’t much safer, if you look at this picture.

Typical Athenian Pavement Hazard

Obviously, a vehicle  has driven over this drain cover.

To be fair to the Greeks, the walking was much easier on all the islands I visited.
