Happiness
There has been a lot of discussion about what happiness is lately.
When you’re a widower or widow, happiness is a big hug from someone, who has suffered the same loss. Sadly, I think many never get that luxury.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.
Oh James. It’s hard, isn’t it? Does it get any easier, I wonder? xxx

I do think it gets easier for men, as they have more emotional things, like sport in their lives. Football and the people who sit around me have been a great help. Women tend to get exploited as free baby-sitters.
I don’t know what it’s like in Edinburgh, but in London, I’ll go somewhere new and explore. Also a lot of people in London talk to strangers and have a good laugh. Also because of my knowledge of the city, I’m always rescuing tourists on the Tube.
I’ve actually got an idea I’m working on and I’ll send you a copy.
