Many realise that Costa Coffee is a subsidiary of Whitbread plc.
But do they realise that this Costa has nothing to do with the cruise line of the same name?
As the Whitbread share price doesn’t seem too strong, this may not be the case.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

It hadn’t occured to me that Costa Coffee would have any connection with Costa cruise line. Whitbread shares could well be down because of the number of pubs closing down everywhere, although now people do go to coffee shops. Personally don’t like Costa as their GF brownie has wheat in it! Am Starbucks fan, in fact I am sat in Starbucks right now enjoying an excellent vente skinny decaff cappuccino, and doing paperwork on my iPad. Several of their Bistro Box lunches are GF, I rarely have cake, but they do sell GF cake, and GF sandwiches. We have builders at home, Starbucks have done very well out of me this past couple of weeks!
