The UCH TV/Phone System
It’s no better than the one at Addenbrookes. And there’s still no BBC 5 Live! As Fornula 1 is not on BBC1 much of the time these days, that will be a cause for complaint.
The accounting for the cards didn’t seem to be too accurate either!
I did laugh at the rather smug message.
You are enjoying <channel>
Does anybody with a brain enjoy Channel 5?
Next time, I go into hospital, I’m taking a radio.
Hospital TV and phone systems are dreadful. However, you are now allowed mobile phones in hospital, and although you dont like smart phones, they really do come into their own in situations like that, as you can access radio, your recorded choice of music, podcasts etc, as well as the internet.

I was using my mobile. My problem is that I like Radio 5 and it’s not on the system.

I used to think like you about smart phones. Then I got an iPad, because it is light and easy to carry and has a touch screen keyboard, which I found easier. I then got the new iPhone 4S because I can speak to it instead of typing in. I dont actually use the Siri facility as much as I thought i would, but I love the phone, and wouldnt never go back to the other non-smart kind. It is VERY easy to use, logical and sensible. Actually, easier to use than the Nokia or Samsung I had before.

They’re too fragile. I also don’t buy Apple products. The thing I missed in hospital was my camera.
