The Dictator
I went to see this film yesterday. I didn’t find it particularly good. Or even that funny! In fact the cinema was rather quiet.
Monty Python would have done the story much better!

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

Charlie Chaplin also did a great send up of a Dictator . . . another area where Gen XYZ miss out again . . .
Even the Fawlty Towers, John Cleese’s Goosesteps & Seig Heils . . . are Monty Pythons Cameos : Confirming how good it was in the Monty Python Days . . .
In OZ, we now have 16 Free to Air TV’s {with the changeover to digital signal} . . . subsequently we have lots of re runs {USA vs UK} . . . watching Dad’s Army {in colour} is very funny {competing against MASH}, and winning a lot of viewers.

Dad’s Army is shown at least once a week on the BBC’s second channel every week. No-one complains. Sadly the creator died recently. We don’t get MASH anymore on mainstream channels, but it may be on digital somewhere. Have you had Allo Allo in Oz? That even went down well in France!

Yes Allo Allo is on weekly, plus all the old UK Favourites , , , Fawlty Towers, Doctor at Large, Carry On Movies

There’s rumours of a follow up to Allo, Allo set in Greece called Goodbye Goodbye.

We better have another Election on that Goodbye Gooodbye, Rumour . . .
There is another Rumour about the Drachma . . . the Greeks can’t leave the Euro . . . they don’t have enough money to reprint new Drachmas

Simon Calder, who is probably Britain’s Number One travel writer, has just said that take a lot of small Euro notes to Greece on holiday. I would add never fly Olympic Airlines. They don’t have Cattle Class, but Goat Class. There are also stories, that in some places credit cards are being refused.
