Actress Or Actor?

I thought that these days, the term actress wasn’t used, as female actors, prefer to be called actors.

But  the BBC has just used the term, Actress under Keira Knightly‘s name on an interview this morning. However, Miss Knightly is referred to as an actress on Wikipedia.

So it would appear that different organisations have different rules.

  1. We had an interesting Male / Female event recently . . . In Oz, they started a “Men’s Shed” group . . . where Men where able to go to a “Shed – Workshop” . . . to get out from under the feet of women when Men Retire . . .

This once of twice a week was so good, {men had smiles on their faces, working making toys & things} that women complained and wanted to know what was going on . . . and now Men’s Sheds are open to women {equal rights} . . . and new ones are set up next to coffee shops, so that anybody can drop in & see what is going on. Does this mean, that women who join Men’s Sheds prefer to be called Men ?

  2. Ah . . . a subject close to my heart . . . “The Aussie Dunny” . . . the last Aussie Icon, that hasn’t been sold off to the Chinese or Japanese or other International Interests.

Aussie Dunnies are protected . . . “There’s a Redback {Deadly Poisonous Spider” on the Toilet Seat on all Outside Dunnies” . . .

I also encourage a Dunny having a good Magazine Rack for Car Books . . .

Also there should be a Nail to hold my Publication “The Dunny Digest” {Printed on White Paper, can also be used if the Dunny Paper runs outs} . . .

Last but not least, a man should take his “Djidgeredoo” into the toilet. “The Aussie Dunny” is the last Retreat that a Man can seek Refuge from a Mother-in-Law . . . when you see her, striding down to the Outhouse . . .

    Start Playing Flatulance Songs {Very Loud Farting Sounds} . . . You will see, a very quick “U” Turn . . .

    • Did they ever show the iconic Carling advert set in an Aussie Dunny. The beer is crap, but the advert was great.
