Duchess Pictures Row Goes From French Farce To An Irish One

It would appear from what I’ve read and heard on the radio, that both in France and Ireland the reason for publishing was to try to prop up rapidly dwindling circulations.  According to a well-know media commentator, one of the most likely outcomes in Ireland, as both the owners have disowned a unilateral decision of an editor is that a hundred jobs might be lost.

I think that the Duke and Duchess have been a bit slow here.  The damage has been done and nothing will repair it. But a substantial donation to his favourite charities might help.

I also think they’ll be also be more careful where they sunbathe.

  1. “Prop up dwindling circulations” . . . this action is the reason for dwindling circulations.

It reminds of the Australian Post {a weekly magazine} with a weekly circulation of 1,280,000 + Per Week.
This was taken over by the new Gen Y staffers . . . who rapidly crashed the circulation . . . finally they turned to the same low level crap . . . and at 25,000 {& still falling} . . . this magazine died.

    I hope this magazine . . . dies . . . Yes, more care is needed . . .

    • The trouble is that supermarkets are full of celebrity magazines. I’ve never read one, except in a dentist’s waiting room some twenty years ago.

  2. Sue the Supermarket Chain for Selling these Magazine {Duty of Care, etc} . . .

Nobody is above English Law . . . the Magna Charta & First Principle of Law : Nobody can Lose their Freedom or Assets . . . without due process. I know Barristers, who could argue that Privacy falls within Magna Charta & First Princple of Law.

This is also covered by fines that should include all types of Fines {some which are multiplied by huge amounts for Vile Criminal Commercial Actions}.

    • Remember what H L Mencken said.

“No-one in the world, has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.”
