Open House – TUCA
I went to the Tunnelling and Underground Construction Academy at Ilford.
It is an impressive place, that trains workers and prospective ones in the skills needed to work underground.
It is actually the first legacy of CrossRail, as they will be needing substantial numbers of workers over the next few years.

Skills Training . . . some Smart Countries are Waking Up to the Fact : That Skilled Trained People, Beat Cheap Imported Labour {Bringing in lost of False Documentation} . . .
Certainly an Impressive Place . . . Not only needing to become Skilled in Tunnelling, but being aware of Safety Requirements of Working on Railways.
More Skills Training like this would be Welcome in GB & Oz.

They will be training workers for Ireland, China and India over the next few years. I don’t think there’s much tunnelling in Oz
